ABOUT THE PROJECT
SoleBoy commissioned Colour Miami to develop the complete exterior concept for its flagship retail location in Fort Lauderdale. The storefront began as a blank façade with no visible brand presence, signage, awning, or customer-facing design.
Colour Miami established the creative direction from the ground up, developing the concept for the awning, illuminated logo, window graphics, exterior signage, privacy treatments, and overall storefront presentation. The goal was to create a strong physical identity that felt consistent with SoleBoy’s luxury streetwear positioning.
THE CHALLENGE
The original storefront did not communicate the SoleBoy identity or create a recognizable retail presence. Starting with a blank exterior, the challenge was to determine how the brand should appear in a physical space while balancing visibility, privacy, exclusivity, and the existing architecture.
THE SOLUTION
Colour Miami created the full storefront concept from the ground up. The design introduced a branded awning, illuminated logo signage, window graphics, exterior messaging, and privacy treatments that worked together as one visual system. Every element was strategically positioned to make the location recognizable, attract attention, and create a clear connection between the exterior and the SoleBoy shopping experience.

FROM BLANK STOREFRONT TO BRANDED FLAGSHIP
Starting with a blank exterior, Colour Miami developed the complete storefront concept for SoleBoy’s flagship location. The creative direction included the branded awning, illuminated wall logo, exterior messaging, door graphics, signage placement, and a visibility plan for how customers would experience the store from outside.
Each element was considered as part of one connected storefront experience. The clear entrance doors offered a direct view into the retail space, while the branded side entrance, illuminated signage, and awning created recognition and visual interest from the street.
Once the concept was approved, the design direction was prepared for production handoff. Fabrication and installation were completed by a third-party production company.

THE OUTCOME
The final storefront gave SoleBoy a stronger physical presence and extended the brand beyond apparel into the retail environment. The exterior now serves as both a privacy solution and a branded first impression, creating a clear connection between the SoleBoy identity and the in-store experience.
